CIC Energigune is an energy research centre based in the Basque Country of Spain. The mission of CIC Energigune is to play a leading role on the international stage in the field of energy storage technologies and contribute to the industrial competitiveness of Basque Country.
The thermal energy storage group of CIC Energigune is focused on the research of different classes of materials for thermal energy storage application. The goal is to identify the most promising candidates for a future application in concentrated solar power plants and in industrial waste heat recovery.
We are now inviting applications for a 1 year Technician position in the materials development and characterization group of Thermal Energy Storage area.
Job function:
We are offering a 1 year position for laboratory technician where the main tasks of the job consist:
1. Support the researchers of the group.
2. Conduct some routine laboratory experiments to support the investigation of the group.
3. Laboratory work using different characterization techniques such as DSC/TGA, Laser flash, conductivimeter, dilatometer, densitometer, etc.
4. Taking care of the maintenance of the equipment.
5. Taking care of the laboratory needs.
Qualification requirements:
We are looking for candidates preferably with a bachelor or Engineering degree in Chemistry, or other scientific disciplines in a related field or equivalency required. Experience in laboratory techniques will be considered. Good knowledge of English is required.
