We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist to join our team investigating cellular and molecular mechanisms controlling the development of inhibitory circuits in the cerebral cortex, and their relation to neuropsychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia. Areas of immediate interest include: neurodevelopment, ligand-receptor interactions (Nrg1/ErbB4), intracellular signalling and functional studies in genetically modified mice.

A background in neuroscience and a good understanding of neuroanatomy, biochemistry, cell biology, DNA technology and/or knowledge in genetic manipulation are desirable. The successful applicant is expected to contribute to the cellular and biochemical analysis of proteins involved in axonal development and synapse formation using conditional mouse mutants.
