1.	Post Description

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Position in the laboratory of Dr. Miguel Beato to work on the chromatin structure in gene regulation by steroid hormones. The project will involve studying the role signalling kinases in preparing the chromatin structure for derepression and transcriptional activation upon hormone treatment of breast cancer cells. 2.	Candidate requirements

•	Experience:  Candidates should have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology, preferably also in protein chemistry and chromatin. The project will involve use of chromatin immunoprecipitation methods linked to oligonucleotide arrays as well as chromatin assembly, cell-free transcription, confocal laser microscopy and RNAi technology.
•	Studies: Candidates must have a PhD in Biological Sciences.
•	Languages: Proficiency in English.
•	Computer skills: Standard computer skills are required.
•	Personality: We are looking for young highly motivated candidates who are want to work in an exciting collaborative environment and in a competitive field.

3.	Conditions

•        Type of contract: Post-doctoral Position, funded initially for 3 years but extendable for up to 5 years.
•        Estimated annual gross salary: competitive salary according to profile and experience.
•        Starting date: Since November 2006.
