First workshop on Delivering User Centred Mobile Design

5 July 2011 Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK.

When designing mobile interfaces it is certainly important to consider the users' needs and intended experience. However, it is also vital to understand the needs of other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of user centred mobile designs. Translating and communicating the mobile user requirements to stakeholders and ensuring best practice is adhered to can be problematic. This workshop aims to bring practitioners and academics together to discuss methodologies to help overcome these problems and other commercial limitations and deliver quality user centred mobile designs. Anyone interested in participating is invited to submit a 2-4 pages position paper or an industrial case study to the workshop organizers. Submissions of papers covering the topics of the workshop should be submitted by 1st of May 2011. This workshop is organized within the FP7 HaptiMap project.
