- The hunt is on for Europe's Digital Champions: E-Inclusion Awards 2012 now open for entries
-
(15 February 2012) Almost a quarter of Europeans aged 16 and over have never used the internet. The European Commission established the e-Inclusion Awards to raise awareness, encourage participation and recognise excellence and good practice in using ICT and digital technology to tackle social and digital exclusion across Europe. The aim is to collect best practices across Europe in supporting people to go online and the stories of individuals who have benefited from their internet experience. Information about the impact of initiatives will be collected through an application form. Audiovisual material that shows the success of the submitted initiative and stories told on blogs, Facebook, Twitter and other platforms would be most welcome. Deadline for submission of entries is 4 May 2012.
