Postdoctoral Researcher in Molecular Oncology and Nutritional
Genomics of Cancer

Job
Description:
Metabolic alterations in cancer: identification of novel genetic and metabolic biomarkers and analysis of their role in tumor progression and therapy.
Postdoctoral research in the context of translational oncology towards the development of metabolomics and genetic biomarkers related to cancer prognosis and response to treatment focused on lipid metabolism. Analysis of the role of epigenetic, genetic and metabolic candidates in tumor progression.
Participation in the development of study designs and discussions, grant proposals, etc…


Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology, Medicinal
Genetics and Molecular Therapeutics.
Knowledge of lipid metabolism and metabolic-related techniques. Authorship in peer-reviewed publications. Patents will be
recognized.
High English language level.
High motivation, positive attitude, professional and excellent communication skills both written and speaking.
Work with others within collaborative groups. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload.


Education:
PhD in Biomedical Science (Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Medicine…)

Información complementaria de la oferta:
Conditions.
Selected candidate will be given a temporary full-time contract according to standard regulations in Spain, after obtaining the mandatory authorizations.
Level and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The incorporation of the candidate to the IMDEA Food Institute is expected to be immediately after the selection process.

Evaluation and selection of candidates.
Candidates will be selected based on the profiles described in Annex 1 as appropriately outlined in their CV by a Selection Committee composed by scientist staff of IMDEA Food. Ad-hoc experts could be participating in the process. The best-qualified applicant will be invited locally for an interview by the Selection Committee.
