First Horizon 2020 calls for eHealth projects launched

Horizon 2020

The European Commission is calling for new projects. They are to be funded under the Horizon 2020 program, worth more than €15 billion over the first two years. eHealth is well represented in this. Researchers and innovators in ICT for health and care are requested to apply either before 15 April 2014 or 21 April 2015.

Survey shows interest in Health Avatar

According to a survey of the MyHealthAvatar project, a majority of respondents would be interested in a personal 'Health Avatar' to have access to their health data and share information with their doctor. Read more...

The EU-funded REACTION project has received CE marking for their GlucoTab device. The GlucoTab, a mobile system for blood glucose management, can now be used for diabetes patients outside of clinical trials.

Bridging the gap between EU research results and service provision

How do we get European research results out of the lab? A new project called HAIVISIO will help EU-funded eHealth and active and healthy ageing projects to set a common strategy for jointly disseminating their results. The project will organise events and training courses and facilitate an online community. The European Commission has granted 399,000 euros for this.
