Descripción:
The Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) is one of the foremost cancer research centres in Europe. To support its scientists in obtaining extramural funding, the CNlO has established a Projects Office, which provides help with identifying sources of funding, writing of grant proposals and the management of projects.
The CNIO is currently seeking to recruit a Grant Manager.
The position provides the opportunity of working in a very dynamic and international environment in one of the most attractive cities in Europe.
Responsibilities of the position include:
1. Support of CNIO scientists planning to participate international and national and calls:
• Identify calls relevant to the research carried out at the CNIO and provide summaries of the calls objectives to the scientists.
• Proactively encourage and support the participation of CNlO scientists in national and international consortia.
• Provide advice and support for the drafting of grant applications, including advice on meeting the strategic objectives of funding bodies and the writing of administrative parts of project proposals.
2. Management of ongoing projects:
• Act as liaison between CNlO scientists and international/national funding bodies for the management of grants.
• Co-ordinate the activities of the participating institutions.
• Actively participate in the writing of administrative parts of project reports.
•Gather and analyse data on ongoing projects for statistical evaluations and financial audits.


Se Requiere:
• A university degree (preferably in a relevant area, i.e. the Life Sciences).
• Have extensive experience with project management as well as international funding bodies, especially in European Research Framework Programmes (required).
• Experience with national funding bodies will be positively evaluated.
• Have a very good command of English and experience in working in international contexts; the working language at the CNIO is English.
• Have excellent organizational and communication skills combined with a high degree of self motivation and team orientation.
• Applications must include a full CV in English, at least two letters of reference and a letter of motivation.
