IP Technologies (Ref. 1/2010-2, 1 position): The candidate must have experience in the development of networked systems in C and C++, with emphasis in VoIP applications. Knowledge and previous experience in the development of software in GNU/Linux environments is a must, including IPC mechanisms, multi-threading, low level sockets, XML and scripting (specially Perl). Knowledge of GNU/Linux system administration and familiarity with version-control systems and GNU/Linux development tools is also required.
Other valued merits: Knowledge of TCP/IP, RTP and SIP protocols, background knowledge in 802.11/UMTS/LTE standards, experience with 802.11/UMTS devices running in Linux OS, experience in Distributed Systems (Corba, RPC, JAX-RCP), configuration of Cisco switches, publications in international conferences on networking.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must hold an MSc/Engineering degree in telecommunications, electronics, computer science or related fields, capacity of carrying out innovative research independently. Experience in R&D or industrial projects carried out in the context of research institutions and centres is a plus.

CONDITIONS

Positions are permanent. Profiles with different levels of work experience are sought. The rank and gross salary in the range 22,000-25,000€/year (graduate engineers) and 27,000-30,000€/year (skilled engineers) will be determined according to qualifications and work experience.
