IMDEA Materials Institute seeks a:
Research assistant
to work in IMDEA in a project funded by an Aerospace-related company. The focus of this work is to investigate mechanical and multifunctional aspects of composites for aerospace applications. Processing and manufacturing of these materials is still in development, so the project will also contain elements of polymer characterization as well as composite materials physical testing (mechanical, thermal, electrical, etc.). Possibility of doing a Ph.D.
Starting date: As soon as possible. Ideally March 15th 2015.
Requirements: Specific interest and experience in composites is desirable. High level of English is mandatory. Excellent academic credentials will be highly regarded. The optimum candidate would have had a master in a
related topic, lab experience, and some exposure to some of the following fields:
Polymers
Composite materials
Materials science
Candidates should possess strong communication, customer service and organizational skills. Strong commitment to team environment dynamics and follow leadership directives at appropriate times is needed.
High level of English is mandatory.
