We offer the possibility to apply for competitive national and international fellowships or contracts (Sara Borrell, Marie Curie, INCOMED, Miguel Servet) with the aim to incorporate to our interdisciplinary group. We have ongoing collaborations with basic researchers and clinical investigators from different Institutions offering a good environment for developing major aspects of the proposed research.
Description: Primary interests of the group are the identification of new and selective targets for anti-cancer therapy and markers able to identify aggressive tumors from non-aggressive ones that can be useful to define the kind of therapeutic intervention. Main objectives for the candidate will be to analyze the role of proteins differentially regulated at translation levels in prostate and colon carcinomas.
Requirements: ideal candidates must have a Ph.D and a postdoctorate with experience in cellular and molecular biology, preferentially in cancer. Demonstrate positive attitude, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills, both written and speaking. Authorship in major peer-reviewed journals is a priority. Experience in Institutions outside Spain will be highly regarded.
