Launch of website to identify your health app

(14/11/2013) On 14 November the research and publishing company PatientView is going to launch a search tool to help people find a suitable health app. This occasion will be celebrated with an open day on health apps in Brussels. PatientView also interviewed 250 patient and consumer groups to identify their wants and needs for health apps. Result? Most of all people need apps to give them more control over their health.

Health 2.0 Europe 2013 will show off technologies transforming healthcare

(17/11/2013 — 19/10/2013) The 4th annual Health 2.0 Europe will gather over 500 entrepreneurs, investors, health professionals, patients, pharma, insurers to network and witness live demos of technologies transforming European healthcare. A new EU-funded project called "GET" will be launched, which is designed to support health entrepreneurs and SMEs at various phases of their development.

Video: An exoskeleton to help paralysed people walk again

Euronews published a video "Exoskeletons on the march" about the EU-funded project Mindwalker: Nineteen-year-old Marius Ciustea suffers from paraplegia after a recent skiing accident. He is now paralysed from the waist down. In recent times he has found some cause for optimism. It is in the form of a new exoskeleton, which helps him to get upright and hopefully walk.
