A ONE-YEAR Technician position is available to work on a project aimed at studying the
genetic determinants of plant virus transmission through the seed. The project combines
molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics to characterize the host and virus genes
involved in seed transmission, and will be run in collaboration with BIOTECH companies.

The successful candidate will be part of the Plant-Virus Interaction and Co-evolution
group. His/her tasks will include, among others, virus inoculation and detection,
management of plants, cloning and sequencing, and other routinary tasks. Salary will be according to the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid standards.


Experience in Virology or/and Plant Molecular Biology will be valued.
