Vacancy Description

The Role

The successful candidate will spend an initial training period of 6 - 9 months at this UK base in Woodville, Derbyshire. During this time they will receive training in the products and will carry out commissioning work on site, both in the UK and overseas. They will also be involved in building the products in the company's workshop and then maintaining them and fault-finding.  

After this initial training period, the employee will be relocated to Germany to work alongside their business partner in Wulfrath, dealing with product issues, installation and commissioning.  Travel to other European and overseas customers may also be necessary.

Main Duties

To provide support to the Systems Division in all of the following duties:
  • Ensure systems products are built to specification and are fully tested to satisfy all electrical, safety and other standards. A rounded knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Control engineering is required.   
  • Ensure that products are built on time to meet the customers' delivery expectations and within the financial budgets.
  • Arrange on site commissioning of systems products working with contractors and the customers.
  • Once products are installed, provide support to customers' trouble shooting problems and providing routine maintenance services.
  • Work on producing and translation of packs of contract and product documentation for quality purposes and providing information to our customers for training and maintenance.
  • Manage an inventory of strategic spares to ensure products can be repaired quickly to minimise down time to the customers.
  • Working at customer sites throughout Germany.
  • Assist the group comply to all European wide and country specific compliance issues (such as electrical work, environmental rules, health & safety rules etc)
  • Additional overseas travel outside Germany and Europe may be required.
  • Work safely and follow company health & safety procedures.
  • Follow company environmental procedures and guidelines.
  • Follow quality procedures to ensure all work is done to consistently high standards.
  • Follow Company policies and procedures. i.e., absence reporting, dress code, confidentiality, data protection, drug & alcohol etc.
  • Be prepared to learn new skills including some software and programming.  
Support the colleagues:
  •  In the Systems Division with ongoing product development & enhancements
  •  In GAIM with research & development work
  •  In Procurement in the sourcing of components

Training will be provided to complete the knowledge base the successful candidate would require.
