Job Title
One year Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Theory of magnetic chiral systems

Major Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible to conduct research on a mutually agreed topic in Theory of Magnetic Chiral Systems (mainly in skyrmionic phases, stability, dynamics, monoaxial helimagnets, etc.... )
Responsible to conduct research on neutron optics simulations
Responsible to publish scientific papers resulting from his/her research and present results at appropriate national and international meetings.
The successful candidate will be part of the Multifunctional Magnetic Molecular Materials (M4) group at Materials Science Institute of Aragón (ICMA) and will be expected to take part in all group activities, which include seminars and meetings.
Qualifications Required
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in physics, applied physics, applied math, material science, or other relevant fields from an accredited institution.
Candidates must be self-motivated and have good interpersonal, communication and presentational skills and a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels. The ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team is a critical asset.
Must have 2 or more years of relevant experience
Must show a strong knowledge on numerical calculus including, Montecarlo simulations, differential equations, numerical linear algebra
Demonstrated experience in multiple programming languages for scientific computing, especially C/C++ and Fortran
Qualifications Desired
Experience with neutron optics or neutron scattering is desirable as well as experience gained in conducting simulations with Mcstats codes or similar.
Experience in magnetic phase transitions and critical phenomena in inhomogeneous magnetic textured systems
An excellent record of productive and creative research demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate in English to an international scientific audience
Ability to work with a measure of autonomy and a willingness to participate creatively in a collaborative team environment
