IMDEA Food Institute is now offering the opportunity to join us through a Ramón y Cajal Research Fellowship
We are looking for a highly motivated individual responsible for carrying out basic and applied, i.e. animals and humans research in the area of micronutrients and cardiovascular health. May serve as lab coordinator in one or more projects. Participates in the development of study protocols including participation in study design discussions. Develops research plans including grant proposal preparations and study protocols. Performs laboratory analyses, interprets statistical results, and prepares reports including integrated summaries for reports, manuscript and proposal submissions.
The ideal candidate has a PhD. in Biomedical Sciences such as (but not limited to) Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology; demonstrates independence, pro-active attitude, professional and excellent communication skills both written and speaking; has experience in molecular biology (cell culture and related techniques) and in animal and human trials; shows ability to work independently on routine assignments, under supervision on new assignments; shows ability to identify and resolve areas of concerns; works with others as necessary; demonstrates strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload; is fluent in English.
