Job description: An assistant professor position is available for a highly motivated Bioinformatics in the Basic Sciences Department at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The candidate will be involved in both: teaching (of basic Human Biology subjects) and research (giving technical support to the current research of the different groups of the Department: www.uic.es/new-cyclins; www.uic.es/neurolipidgroup). Top-ranked candidates will be invited to a meeting to discuss the precise project (candidates are expected to read key publications of the 2 labs to obtain an overview of our research).
Qualifications and experience: The ideal candidate should have:
a) Very good skills in teaching and communicating Science.
b) Great knowledge in protein structure and use of related software (chimera or related, analysis of protein modules, docking regions, etc.).
c) Some experience in database management and analysis of data from proteomic, and massive sequencing.
d) Fluent communication in English
She/he should have strong analytical skills, in addition to creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm, and ability to work in a team.

Información complementaria de la oferta:
Contract: Tenure Track as assistant professor for two-three years, starting next September, that will end with a stable position as a professor in the Department. The salary will be negotiated with the candidate.
