IMDEA Food Foundation launches this Call for the recruitment of postdoctoral scientist who wants to develop their research career at IMDEA Food in Food and Health Area.

Job Description:
Collaboration in the research project: "Analysis of new bioactive compounds as complementary agents in anticancer therapy: a nutrigenomic approach" in the cancer and lipid metabolism, gene expression regulation and diet research line.
Evaluation of the effects of lipid metabolism key genes in cancer progression.

Qualifications required:
Possession of a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Biology preferentially) with at least 9 years of full time postdoctoral research experience.
Authorship in at least 10 SCI scientific publications in the area.
Demonstrated experience in Cell Biology and Molecular Biology techniques, including cloning, cell culture (established cell lines and primary cell cultures), Seahorse Bioanalyzer, Western blot, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and immunofluorescence. RT-qPCR and gene expression analysis. Experience in working with different cancer in vitro and animal models, including isolation of primary cells and organs. Experience in management of Genomic, proteomic or metabolomics data is also required.
Category B/C in animal experimentation is required.
Demonstrated research experience in gene expression regulation of genes implicated in cancer progression, hormonal regulation and lipid metabolism.
Participation in competitive public funding projects, both national and international.
Direction and supervision of master degree or BsC students are highly acknowledged.
Experience in high rank foreign (out of Spain) research institutions of at least four years.
Successful candidacy in highly competitive scientific programs for young research investigators (i.e. Programa "Juan de la Cierva", Contratos "AECC" etc.) will be highly acknowledge.
Demonstrated independence, pro-active attitude, professional, and excellent communication skills both written and spoken. Demonstrated strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload. Ability to work independently on routine duties, as well as on new assignments.
Fluent use of English.
