The group "Reparative therapy of heart" has two main lines of research. The first one focuses on the characterization of human susceptibility to myocardial ischemia/reoxigenation damage and its protective response against different therapies.
The second line is based on the use of stem cell therapy and growth factors on an engineered heart tissue model, with the goal of understanding the signaling pathways that promote cardiac repair.

WE ARE SEEKING TWO HIGHLY TALENTED AND MOTIVATED PHD CANDIDATES TO APPLY A FPU (Formación de Personal Universitario) GRANT IN ANY OF THE LINES PREVIOUSLY DESCRIBED.


Those interested should send their CV, including research experience (if any) and academic record. You may also submit a short paper explaining the scientific interests of stakeholders.

Candidates should have completed their degree in Biology, Biomedicine or Biochemistry. They should be studying a Master during this course or have already completed it. We will not consider CVs from candidates with an averaged mark (Bachelor and/or master) less than 2 in a scale from 0-4.
