The IMDEA Food Institute (Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in Food) is a food science research institution created by the Madrid Regional Government in coordination with universities, research centers of Madrid, and enterprises. The IMDEA Food Foundation is recruiting researchers of the highest international profile and guarantees the recruitment of young investigators who want to develop their research career at IMDEA Food.

Within this context, the IMDEA Food Foundation launches this Call for the recruitment of postdoctoral scientist of the highest international profile who wants to develop their research career at IMDEA Food in Food and Health Area, covering the following positions:

1. Position Description.

A position in the IMDEA Food Research Program is offered with the specific requirements according to Annex 1- Ref. PD2014/015, to collaborate in the development of the following project:

Title: "Formación de productos para la nutrición personalizada de enfermos de cáncer gástrico". (Ref. AGL2013-48943-C2-2-R)

2. Conditions.

Selected candidate will be given a temporary full-time contract according to standard regulations in Spain, after obtaining the mandatory authorizations.

Level and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience according to the budget of the project.

The incorporation of the candidate to the IMDEA Food Institute is expected to be immediately after the selection process.

3. Evaluation and selection of candidates.

Candidates will be selected based on the profiles described in Annex 1 as appropriately outlined in their CV and project by a Selection Committee composed by scientist staff of IMDEA Food. Ad-hoc experts could be participate in the process. If necessary, personal interviews will be scheduled with all or some of the pre-selected candidates.

4. Application.

Interested candidates should submit their applications before 17:00 p.m. (local time) on 4th December, 2014. They must send by e-mail to rrhh.alimentacion@imdea.org, indicating the Reference of the position, the following documents:

1. Curriculum Vitae (including a cover letter) and the names and e-mail addresses of at least 2 references.

The results of the selection will be published in the IMDEA Food Institute's web page http://www.alimentacion.imdea.org and the selected candidate will be notified by e-mail.

The selected candidate will receive a contractual offer and - if he/she agrees with it - must accept it within five (5) days after notification.
