The Mouse Model and Cancer Laboratory at VHIR is currently seeking candidates to apply to the Sara Borrell (ISCIII) program and pre-doctoral fellowships call (PFIS) (convocatoria BOE 22-2-11 Acción Estratégica en Salud) date line March 23th 2011. We offer advanced, interdisciplinary training in the field of cancer and tumor biology, and a lively and international educational atmosphere, with excellent state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and competitive fellowships.

Our research is focused in translational investigations in melanoma and other skin cancers. We combine conventional and state of the art technologies (–omic tools) together with animal models and primary human tumor samples, to study cancer (melanoma) development and progression. Our main interest is to translate our results into clinic.

We welcome highly motivated and dedicated postdoctorals and graduate students (academic record= 2 or higher), interested in tumor biology and translational research.
