Ph.D. Position in 3D texture classification through uncalibrated photometric stereo

The Intelligent Robotics and Computer Vision group (IRCV) at Rovira i Virgili University, Tarragona, Spain (http://deim.urv.cat/~rivi/ ), gives support to prospective candidates with experience in Computer Vision that could be interested in applying to a 4-year Ph.D. position under URV pre-doctoral grants.

The research work to be developed is in line with surface rotation invariant 3D texture classification through uncalibrated photometric stereo.

• Applicants should hold a Master degree.
• Applications from candidates with relevant Master's grade will be welcome. The ideal candidate will have a background in Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Image Processing, Mathematics, or a related field.
• In general, candidates should demonstrate their research skills. Particularly, candidates with publications in ISI-JCR journals are especially welcome.
  

Successful candidates will join different research projects on: medical image analysis, movement analysis and recognition, among others.
