Discover who is part of the new HousingAnywhere team and enjoy some light articles to wrap up your day nicely! ;) | | HousingAnywhere.com: the free international student to student newsletter | | We have reached 85 partners worldwide, and still growing further! New possibilities, new discoveries and a whole new life awaits eager students wanting to reach out in the world. HousingAnywhere.com is trying to help them with our housing platform where students going abroad for an exchange semester or internship can sublet their rooms and incoming exchange students that come to that city can rent those rooms. This gives the student who is going abroad more financial possibilities, while the incoming student can experience a great cultural exchange: living in the room of a local student with local student housemates. In the past 5 years, over 5000 rooms have been offered from local students to international students on our platform. Additionally, no scams or other problems have been reported. Something to be proud of! This great success is thanks to the student-to-student concept of the platform. Now, with a bigger investment and a growing team in Rotterdam, you can expect us to grow even faster! Is your city in the ranking? You might be surprised with some of them on the list! Find out. | What a great 2014! Since January we added a few more full-time people to our team, so now we are covering 14 nationalities, and by now our platform is online at more than 85 universities in 22 countries. The most recent country is South Africa, where all students of North-West University from Potchefstroom can use our platform since this month. Further we have another much needed asset in our team: a full-time developer. Now we are not reliable anymore on extern companies, but can fix changes ourselves. This is a great attribute for our team, so we can implement our new ideas quickly, and for our customers and users: all your requests for changes can also be implemented very quickly. We have attended the NAFSA Conference in San Diego and met many universities and we had many great talks with you. Currently we are updating our website according to the feedback we received from you during NAFSA and from our users, the students. Within a few weeks our website will run even better and smoother than before! If you want to speak to one of us, just let us know! We are very much willing to talk to you! If you want to send us an email, check our "About Us" Page on our blog Niels | | We would like to thank all our partners, peers, supporters and everyone else who have contributed to the success of HousingAnywhere! We would also like to welcome our new country representatives and ambassadors around the world, without whom we would not be where we are now. We will keep sending quarterly newsletters with more useful and engaging articles and links. If you have any questions, suggestions, critiques or if you just want to say hello and give us a virtual tap on the back, do not hesitate to send us an email or comment on our Facebook page. Oh, speaking of which, don't forget to click the "like" button on our Facebook page! | UPCOMING EVENTS: One-day workshop under the "Global Midwest" initiative. Dave Matthews Band will wind through numerous configurations - from electric to acoustic, from full-throttle numbers featuring the entire band to more intimate moments featuring small groups of band members - including a stripped-down pairing of Matthews with guitarist Tim Reynolds, performing as an acoustic duo, as they occasionally do when the band is off the road. A variety of guests will join the band throughout the summer. | Nathan, 22, Belgium - Renter I moved to the netherlands straight from my Erasmus exchange. Since HousingAnywhere didn't exist in Belgium I didn't know it. Since I started my life as international I used HoudingAnywhere 3 semesters in a row. I actually always moved into the first room I responded to on the platform and it has been great. My housemates from house 'The Old Dyke' have turned our house into a home and created a family in which they included me instantly and that means the world to me. Thank you HousingAnywhere and thank you to 'the Old Dyke' residents! | Marly, 24, the Netherlands - Tenant Because of my internship in the US, I wanted to temporarily sublet my room in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I decided to put an ad on Housing Anywhere because it's visited by internationals, which broadens your search. My roommate and I had a few Skype calls and were lucky to find someone we both liked in a very short time. I'd definitely use it again in the future. | Oosztedijk Beneden, 81A - 3061 VN - Rotterdam, The Netherlands Copyright © 2013 HousingAnywhere.com, All rights reserved. | | | | | |
