The research group of Atomistic Materials Modeling at IMDEA Materials Institute is seeking a:

Research assistant to work in a European project related with the simulation of surface growth of state-of-the-art semiconductors (Si, Ge, SiGe, GaAs, GaAsIn...) using Lattice Kinetic Monte Carlo techniques, under the supervision of a project leader with demonstrated experience in both academia and industry.

Starting date: As soon as possible. (ASAP)

Requirements:

 Master in electronic engineering, materials science, physics, or similar.

The optimum candidate would have had some exposure to some of the following fields:
 Monte Carlo techniques.
 Computer programming (preferably C++).
 Semiconductor processing.
 Molecular dynamics.

The candidate should be highly motivated, and willing and eager to obtain a PhD degree working in these topics. High level of English is mandatory.
