CIC Energigune is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to engage in the research and development of thermal energy storage concepts and solutions. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive hands-on experience in the design, construction and start-up of heat storage facilities.
Job function:
• Basic design of laboratory and pilot scale heat storage facilities
• Construction of thermal energy storage facilities
• Data acquisition and automation of experimental devices
• Conceptual thermal energy storage up-scaling and integration in real environments
• Collaboration in project proposal writing to obtain funding from institutions and industrial sources
• Supervise graduate/master students and technicians

We are looking for
Qualification requirements:
• PhD in Engineering, or related fields
• Expertise in the design, optimization, construction and start-up of laboratory scale thermal energy storage facilities
• Experience in 2D/3D CAD design software (Catia, SolidWorks etc.), physical/engineering modeling packages for fluid, thermal and mechanical simulations (ANSYS, STAR CCM+, MATLAB etc) and automation/data acquisition (LabVIEW etc.) will be highly valorated.
• A team player who can collaborate with other groups, technical centers, and industries
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
