Angiogenesis in Liver Disease Research Group, Liver Hemodynamics and Portal Hypertension Team, IDIBAPS Biomedical Research Institute, University of Barcelona, Spain

Description:
We are currently seeking to cover a postdoctoral scientist position to join the research group led by Mercedes Fernandez at the IDIBAPS Biomedical Research Institute of Barcelona (Spain).

Positions would cover a 5-year period and would be funded by the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC) to dissect new molecular mechanisms in liver disease progression.

Expected background of candidates:
• Applicants with PhD degrees in Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy, or a related field will be considered.
• The postdoctoral candidate should have good English level and at least two papers as first author in top-journal.
• The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and efficient researcher, with creativity, initiative and a proactive approach to solving problems and developing new ideas.
• The successful candidate must be a good team player with a high degree of work autonomy and organization, and very good communication skills.
