IMDEA Food Foundation launches this Call for the recruitment of postdoctoral scientist who wants to develop their research career at IMDEA Food in Food and Health Area, covering the following position:

Description:
Collaboration in research Project: "Therapeutic modulation of noncoding RNAs through dietary bioactive compounds: impact on the physiophatological regulation of intestinal lipid metabolism"
Qualifications:
Possess a PhD in Biology with at least 15 years of full time postdoctoral research experience is required
Experience in high rank foreign (out of Spain) research institutions of at least four years is required.
Category B or C in animal experimentation is required.
At least 15 articles in high impact journals, with first authorship in at least 10 SCI scientific publications.
Demonstrated experience in Cell Biology and Molecular Biology techniques, including cloning, cell culture (established cell lines and primary cell cultures), Western blotting, Northern blotting, gene expression analysis, chromatin immunoprecipitation assays (ChIP) on cell lines and tissues, and RT-qPCR. Experience in working with different animal models, including isolation of primary cells and organs.
Participation in competitive public funding projects, both national and international.
Direction and supervision of doctoral theses, master degree students or experimental work of BcS students are highly acknowledged.
Successful candidacy in highly competitive scientific programs for young research investigators (i.e. Juan de la Cierva, Programa "Ramón y Cajal", Programa "Miguel Servet", etc.) will be highly acknowledge.
Knowledge of both national and European funding programs and agencies. Experience in the design, planning, and preparation of proposals for national and European funding agencies calls, as well as for private funding institutions calls will be highly acknowledge.
Education requirements:
PhD in Life Science (i.e. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology)
