We are looking for experienced researchers to jointly apply for individual fellowships to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions. Researchers would work in the research group of Dr. Santiago Cuesta at the Science and Technology Park of University of Burgos (Spain) and involved in the recently created International Center of research in Critical Raw Materials for advanced industrial technologies (ICCRAM).
Researcher will have the unique opportunity of being involved in the activity of two Action Groups within the European Innovation Partnership in Raw Materials, as well as in different European projects, international activities and direct contact with industry.
Candidates should be excellent experienced researchers interested in developing research lines involved in international projects in the fields of Advanced Materials, Nuclear Technology & Nano/Biotechnology.
The candidate is expected to lead a research line within the group based in Multiscale Modelling of Materials.
Mandatory requirements:
-Experienced Researchers, in possession of a doctoral degree (EU-PhD title or adapted to the Spanish system is required)
-Researchers may be of any nationality.
-Researchers must not have resided or carried out the main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to September 11th 2014.
Please take into account that this fellowships are for "Excellent researchers", what implies a record and résumé exceptional.
Researchers are expected to be experts in:
• Theoretical design of new advanced materials for Industry (nano and bio-nano technologies).
• Multiscale modeling of advanced Nano-structured materials for engineering.
• Super-Materials at extreme conditions.
• Modelling advanced materials.
• The study the theoretical properties of materials through computer based simulations, including both qualitative behavior models and quantitative value estimations. Candidates are expected to have advanced knowledge in Molecular Dynamics, DFT, kinetic-Montecarlo techniques and similar applied into nanotechnology.
• The study of materials and systems based on multiscale methodology, involving for instance the expertise in FEM, or CFD codes/methods.
Estimated starting date: June 15th 2015
Duration: 24 months

Información complementaria de la oferta:
Gross salary: 4.538,40 €/month (54.460,80 €/year). Additional complements: Mobility allowance 600 €/month & family allowance 500 €/month (if the requirements are fulfilled). Other salary complements are possible if the candidates show competitiveness and are able to generate industrial or EU-H2020 projects. Note that Burgos is one of the Spanish cities with highest quality of live. Cost of the life is 15-20% less than in other regions of Spain.
Other requirements: Open and communicative, with strong background in computer simulation and modeling of materials.
Duties: Modelling Materials, guiding PhD students, participate in the redaction and execution of proposals for the new EU framework H2020.
