Job description:
• Planning and installation of Linux systems, OS installation, application of standard build
configuration and best practice.
• Providing ongoing support of Linux / Windows environment including problem
determination, patching, upgrades, performance analysis and tuning.
• Performing availability monitoring and reporting.
• Planning and executing changes to systems and network.
• Contributing to the development, application and maintenance of Linux / Network security
standards.
• Developing and maintaining operational support documentation.
• Contributing to the planning, maintenance and execution of Systems DR strategy.
• Providing mentoring, training and skills transfer to other staff.
• Complying with Company policy in relation to health and safety, security and
confidentiality.
Skills:
• 4+ Years Experience on Linux System Administration.
• Expert knowledge of (Red Hat Linux / CentOS), Windows Servers and OS X.
• Expert knowledge of mail services: Zimbra Mail Server, MTAs, Spamassassin, clamav,
openldap, postfix, qmail.
• Expert Knowledge of Firewall Systems (Stonegate FW desired), IPTABLES, IPCHAINS
and IPSEC.
• Handling of Cisco routers and HP Procurve switches, VLAN, Routing Protocols, Structured
Wiring, Wireless Access Points.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server Administration, including ADS (Active Directory
Services), DNS, DHCP, Group Policies Roles.
• Good knowledge of shell / bash / python / php or Perl scripting.
• Good knowledge of Linux Logical Volume Management and SAN (EMC desired), Fiber
Channel Switches (Brocade), Zoning, etc.
• Good knowledge of Remote Filesystems, SAMBA, CIFS, NFS, SSHFS, SFTP, etc.
• Good knowledge of servers like Apache, chrooted services, etc.
• Good knowledge of MySQL Database Administration / DB backup / recovery, user admin.
• Good Knowledge of asterisk PBX and VoIP systems (ISDN, GSM, UMTS).
• Knowledge of Monitoring Systems and network analysis tools such as Nagios, Snort,
tcpdump, wireshark, etc.
• Knowledge on SSL VPN Systems (Stonegate VPN desider).
• Knowledge of Backup systems and Policies, Backup Exec, Veritas, rsync, sftp, etc.
Knowledge of BIND9 DNS Servers, ISC DHCP, tftp servers, Mediawiki Servers.
• Knowledge of ITIL methodologies, Change Control and Service Delivery.
• Self learner, Desirable of Open Source project contributions, proactive and motivated
